Customer & Office Support Specialist (Onsite – Plainfield, IL)

We’re seeking a dependable, service-oriented professional who enjoys helping people, solving problems, and contributing to a small collaborative team. This role blends customer support, software assistance, office operations, and community program support — ideal for someone who values purpose-driven work and variety in their day. 

 

What You’ll Do 

  • Support educators using our custom web-based software (phone, email, web meetings) 

  • Set up customer data, forms, and system configurations 

  • Assist clients via telephone, email, and web meetings with client troubleshooting, configuration, productivity, and customizing software to client needs.  

  • Assist with documentation, training materials, and basic software testing 

  • Assist in creating and distributing software product marketing for customer updates and webinars.  

  • Support small charitable programs (computer donations, scholarships, teacher recognition) 

  • Provide general office and light bookkeeping support 

  • Collaborate with the team to resolve complex issues and participate in special projects when required. 

 

What We’re Looking For 

  • Strong communication and customer service skills 

  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail 

  • Comfortable multitasking in a small team environment 

  • High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred 

  • Familiarity with Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and QuickBooks a plus 

  • Interest in nonprofit, education, or mission-driven work 

 

Compensation & Benefits 

Salary Range: $45,000 – $55,000 annually 
Final compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and budget alignment.
